     On May 20, 2013, it was two little boys birthday named, Brendan and Ivan. They are going to have a party in the afternoon that day. Jamie's parents had to go and get ready and buy two cakes, while Jamie's parent were doing so much stuff they decided to drop off Jamie, her brother, her cousins and her aunt to the mall. When driving to the mall, Jamie's cousins, Amy and Alan were fighting. At first Amy and Alan were sitting in the van quietly.

     But then Amy asked Alan "Why do you open put your leg so far apart from each other? There is no more room. Alan answered "I like to, do you have a problem with that? Then Amy said "yea", Alan quickly said that it is her problem. Amy then got angry and starting hitting Alan. They started screaming at each other and copying what each other said before. While Amy and Alan are still fighting, Jamie started to scream too. Jamie started screaming because Amy and Alan was about to start saying bad words and their mother was sitting right in the middle row. Sitting beside Amy's mom is Jamie's brother, Jason. Jason didn't want to get involved with this screaming so he was quietly during the whole drive. Amy's mom did not stop them. The only reason why Jamie got involved was because when Amy and Alan were screaming at each other they were also pushing each other which cause them to push Jamie as well. The screaming goes on for 10 minutes. By the time they were done yelling at each other they have arrived to the mall.

Creative Writing #2

   Stephanie! My friend Maddie called out, she was looking for me to ask if I wanted to go to the mall with her after school is over. Since it's my birthday tomorrow, I'll go and get a present for myself. I am almost 17 years old on June 22. After school I went to the mall with my best friend Maddie, When I went into this store I saw these beautiful heels but since I am 5'7" Maddie and I think that I am kind of too tall wear heels. Going around the mall I end up finding this gorgeous light blue headband that matches my dark brown hair and my light-medium skin tone. That is everything that I got at the mall, when we were all done getting what we needed, we take the bus home. When I got home I finished my homework, ate dinner and showered, I quickly went to bed because I can't wait till tomorrow.
    
The next day... I woke up brushed my teeth, got dressed up in my casual clothes since it's feeling cool for this season in Brisbane, Australia and did what I needed to do in the morning, I went downstairs and I see birthday presents from my family. My father gave me $50, my mother bought me more clothes for the winter that is coming up and my brother, Stephen made me a really cute card and a chocolate bar which is my favourite. Then I ate my breakfast and went to school. That day of school I didn't have much homework, but that was a going thing because I had I to go to work today to save up for collage in a year. Overall that day was a good birthday; I went home after working and drew an outline of my day since I love drawing. As I was drawing, I was thinking what will tomorrow be like.

Creative Writing #1

My Bedroom

     My Bedroom is a medium sized room. It has mint blue on two sides its creamy white beside that wall then on the wall that has the window it has a mix of both colours because the window side sticks out. The part with the window is creamy white and the frame of it the mint blue. Usually I have my window open so I would hear the nature and smell fresh air from the outside in the spring and Summer time. When you walk in the room there is a soft creamy colored carpet. Going to the left side of my bedroom I have a closet, my closet door is one of the old brown ones. In my closet I have my clothes but because my closet has a whole bunch of boxes that contains my random items like plastic packaging from shopping online I also have a basket that has the clothes that I don't wear often on the stick out of the window. Beside my closet I have my vanity. On my vanity it has a stereo that has radio too, so I often listen to the radio after school. I also have body sprays on it as well. My vanity is white with three pull out storage and two extra storages. I often keep my books, school supplies and yearbooks in the storage. After my vanity there is the window that sticks out, in that area I have my clothes basket and a plastic see through drawer. What I keep in the drawers is pencils/pens, hair accessories, jewelry, and things I have had in the past. Then the corner next to the window I have my computer area, I have a shiny glass computer desk with sliver legs and the keyboard holder. On that desk I have my iMac, school homework, extra paper, water bottle and candies. I like to keep candies on my desk because sometimes I need some sweet so I have a little basket that I keep a lot of different kinds of candies in it, like chocolates, coffee candies. I also have a set of speakers on my desk since the speaker on my iMac isn't that good. Next to my desk I have my  nightstand drawers, in it I have my chargers for my phone, laptop, and camera. I also have my MacBook and my camera. On that drawer I have my clock, a home phone and lotion. Next to that is my bed, my bed is a queen size so I often like to roll around in it. On my bed I have a pillow that is really flat which feels uncomfortable so I folded an extra blanket to keep on top of it. I also have a mini pillow for extra and two more long pillows just to take up room because my bed is a little too big for me I also my fluffy pink blanket on my bed. When you walk in my room it often smells like my body spray which is really light because I don’t like strong smells. On my door I also have hangers to hang my sweaters and bags. And that is my whole room.

Literacy Blog #7

          In today's blog I will be casting my own production of the Midsummer Night's Dream. I will be casting Helena, Puck and Titania.

          For Helena's part, I think that Anne Hathaway would be a good actress. Anne Hathaway would be a good actress for Helena because she usually plays an innocent part and sometimes will she fall in love with someone. Like Ella Enchanted, but for innocent parts she often plays in movies like The Princess Diaries, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, Ella Enchanted and Alice in Wonderland. In Act II, she said "And even for that do I love you the more. I am your spaniel;" (II,i, 202) This line seems like a line that Anne could play. I think that the part Helena kind of match with when she plays Ella Enchanted.

          For Puck, I think that Neil Patrick Harris could play Puck because Neil usually plays a  funny character where he is silly and jokes around like in movies like Beastly, The Smurfs, and A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas.In Act III, he says "A hog, a headless bear, sometime a fire, And neigh, and bark, and grunt ans roar and burn" (III,i,102-103).This quote shows the silliness of Puck which is what Neil seems to act out a lot of times, a silly character.

          For Titania's part, I think that Courteney Cox would be a good actress for that part. I think Courteney Cox would be a good actress for Titania because she usually acts in an action type of movies like Zoom and Bedtime's Stories. In Act II Titania says "The fairy land buys not the child pf me. His mother was a votaress of my order" (II,i, 122-123). This quote show that Titania is like a mother like character and Courteney could play that kind of character.

        In today's blog post I will be talking about which cover I believe is the most effective cover of the Shakespeare's book, Midsummer Night's Dream. In my opinion i think that this cover is the most effective. The reason I think it is the most effective is because in the book (Act 2) Oberon was jealous that Titania has the Indian boy because the boy is the king. Oberon also sees Demetrius and Helena in the forest. Demetrius and Helena are in the forest because he was looking for Hermia because Helena told Demetrius that Hermia is going to leave Athen. "It fell upon a little western flower, Before milk-white, now purple with love’s wound. And maidens call it “love-in-idleness." (II, I, 151-155) And so Oberon sees that Demetrius dislike Helena so Oberon sends Puck to get the love-idleless flower to put on Titania's eyelids because then she will like some monsters and forget about the Indian boy so Oberon can have him. When he noticed that Demetrius dislike Helena he also tells Puck to put the love-Indleless flower on a man wearing Athenian clothing. So Pucks goes and finds the love-idleless flower. Meanwhile Hermia and Lysander is in the forest getting ready to sleep the reason why they are sleeping in the forest is  because they wanted to leave Athen because Hermia's dad dislike Hermia to like Lysander and wants Hermia to marry Demetrius so Hermia and Lysander decides to leave. When Puck has found the love-Ideless flower he made a mistake and puts it on Lysander's eyelids because Demetrius isn't the only man wearing Athenian clothes int the forest. "Content with Hermia? No. I do repent The tedious minutes I with her have spent. Not Hermia but Helena I love." (II,II, 84-86) I think that the picture on this cover is when Hermia and Lysander are sleeping in the forest and Puck comes to put the Lysander's eyelid. Puck is a fairy so it is normal to be tiny on the cover. That is why I think that this is the most effective cover of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

In today's blog I will be comparing characters from the Midsummer Night’s Dream by Shakespeare and Matched by Ally Condie. There are a lot similar things about the Midsummer Night's Dream and Matched are the characters. In these two books, the characters Hermia and Cassia, Ky and Lysander are the most similar. Cassia and Hermia characters are similar because they are both a rebellious characters because Cassia doesn't really think before she likes Ky. And Hermia likes Lysander and doesn't care about her dad. Ky and Lysander are similar because they are both artistic because Ky knows how to write and is creative. And Lysander is a musicians type person. Also Cassia has feelings for Ky but she is supposed to have like Xander because Xander is Cassia’s match (matches are supposed to get married when they are 21 years old). In Shakespeare's book Hermia has feelings for Lysander, but father wants Hermia to like and marry Demetrius because he is rich. But instead these two characters, Cassia and Hermia like the artistic boys known as Ky and Lysander. In these two books there are people who disagree with Cassia and Hermia for liking those boys, they are the Officials in Cassia’s society (which,the society don’t even know they like each other, but if they know the society will disagree anyways) and Hermia’s father who likes the rich boy. That is the comparison between the Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare and Matched by Ally Condie. Overall I think these two book are very close to the same.

Spring Break Plans


         For Spring Break in 2013, my plans are to go to my cousin's house, hang out with my friends, go to the orthodontist on Tuesday in the morning, go to the mall, go on the computer to watch Chinese drama and go on my phone. I have decided to go to my cousin's house because me and my younger brother will be the only one at home and we tend to be bored so I would go to my cousin's house to talk, play and watch movies. On Tuesday morning I will go to the orthodontist in the morning because I have to go for a check up for my teeth. During the spring break I will also hang out with my friends too, since we don't have school and we usually see at school. When I hang out with my friends we like to talk about random things like what we have fore homework, what we learned in class and more random things. I am also going to the mall because I like going to the mall.  And by going you could find good deals and you might be able to get or to see new things. On spring break I am also going to go on the computer and watch Chinese drama. The reasons why I watch them is because I like watching them, I tend to look at the subtitles to know how to write it and for me to know how to speak Chinese. While I am on the computer I tend to also go on Facebook to see what's new and posts that people post, YouTube to see videos that people upload because maybe you could learn new things that you didn't know before. Sometime while I am on the computer in between I would go on my phone play games like Adventure Time, Subway Surfers and Ice cream Jump I would also go on social apps like instagram to see pictures that people post. What I am most looking forward during the spring break is we get to relax and I am also hoping for the snow to melt.

        I have chosen this picture because I think this picture represent "spring" because when I think of spring I think of wonderful weather and I really like how the picture has bright green grass because spring is full of green grass, trees with full green leaves and the cool fresh air. In the spring usually the weather is very nice. During the spring I like to go to outside hang out with my friends, play with my cousin's outside, go bike riding and go for a run as well. One of my favorite seasons is spring because of the weather. I chose this picture because it also has a path, this path is very easy to see which is good because when it is the winter season you can't see the path, sometimes you could see the path but more likely you won't see it. That is one thing good about spring. Another good thing about spring is that there wouldn't be many accidents because the roads are clear. The next good thing is that there is not much work to do; you don't have to pick up leaves like the fall season. With the fences we could see beautiful farm animals eating grass and enjoy the path that we are going down. During the spring me and my friends can also hang out and sit on the bright green grass. This picture is also very beautiful which makes us think that spring is a beautiful season and by the end of the day when the sun goes down you know where you know where you are going because there is a path right there that you could see clearly. I am also hoping that the snow will melt soon because when the snow is here during the spring season it makes the spring season shorter and we won't be able to enjoy spring as much. That is why I chose this picture, and why I think that spring is a great season.
